About Amanda Pirot
Thank you for checking out my website.
Amanda Pirot creates one-of-a-kind dog portrait paintings in watercolor to reflect the unique qualities of a dog’s personality. She is thrilled to share her portraits with Mill Valley, a community of the most ardent dog lovers around (and all dog loving communities across the U.S,). Her day job is in marketing; her passion / avocation is combining watercolor portrait painting and dogs into visual pet stories.
Amanda studied art at a NYC high school and The Art Student’s League. She completed her bachelors degree, minoring in studio art from Washington University in St. Louis. Her work (including portrait drawings, textile design and watercolor portrait paintings) have been exhibited in St. Louis, Philadelphia (The Fabric Workshop), Gatlinburg, TN (Arrowmont Center - International Surface Design Association Convention), Mill Valley, CA (The Depot Bookstore), and Sausalito, CA.
After diving head first into painting political portraits throughout 2016, she turned her full attention to dog portrait commissions after the elections. She still uses her Kolinsky watercolor handmade sable paint brush from her very 1st watercolor class.
