Coffee Shops in Mill Valley, California and Local No. Cal Towns

Primarily, I am a dog portrait painter (starting 8 years ago). My artistic quest continues with other sources of inspiration, including "Urban Sketching".  I feel privileged to be part of a global movement of urban sketchers, artists that sketch / paint what they see -- people and places to capture a moment in time, to tell a story. I spend time inside local coffee shops, sketching the local patrons,  workers,  and dogs that inhabit a given spot on any day. I find the juxtaposition of inside/outside to be a personally compelling story. What does the world look like when peering outside through a window? I sketch on site (weather permitting), and generally finish the painting from the comfort of my home. I take a photo of the location, to finish the painting to capture the details
